Inside Out/Outside In

No, this does not have anything to do with the Pixar movie. Just because there are two paintings one with yellow and light blue and the other with a darker blue at the center and the name is EXACTLY the same as the movie does NOT mean that this was inspired by the film that touched me so profoundly and still makes me cry when I rewatch it by myself because my kids don’t want to watch animated movies with me anymore because they are grown-ups and too “cool” for kid movies. I painted this because I liked the idea of painting two paintings of concentric shapes once going from light to dark and the other going from dark to light. I was not sure how it would turn out. In the end, it turned out like this! One seems to rise up toward the eye while the other pulls away. Which one goes up and which down? That seems to depend on the viewer!
