Katie In Blue
As part of my “Katie In” series, this is Katie in a light blue. I went the opposite direction of Katie in Pink, with a down turned face and deep, dark colors in the hair/background. The amazing thing about emotions is that we all feel them. They are all relatable even though none of us have gone through what others have gone through. I am not sure what Blue Katie is thinking, but i know how it feels to be thinking too much and pulled down by the weight of my thought. Pulling in heavy, deep feelings and maybe even oppressing thoughts that can pull someone down, this painting impresses me with the opportunity to overcome ahead. We all have things weighing down on us. It’s all about pushing through and getting to the other side!
